The Nimbus controller from SteelSeries has proven to be a popular controller since it first launched. But now SteelSeries has decided that it's time for it to be replaced with a new, much-improved version that's simply called the Nimbus+. It will retail for $69.99 on Apple's website before coming to the SteelSeries webshop on May 26th May.

Much like its predecessor, the Nimbus+ is designed for use across Apple's range of devices including the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and Apple TV. Now it will also have clickable joysticks and each charge will last an impressive 50 hours.
Top 15 best iOS games with controller support
The triggers and buttons will also apparently ultra-responsive for a greater feeling of control when playing games. Usefully, when you purchase the Nimbus+ you will also get the Nimbus+ iPhone Mount, which allows the controller to be attached to your phone. It's great to see this available as standard rather than making the mount an additional payment.

Discussing the Nimbus+ Craig Olson, President of Worldwide Mobile at SteelSeries said: “With its iPhone Mount and an amazing 50 hours of battery life, Nimbus+ is the ideal companion to games on the App Store and Apple Arcade that feature controller support such as Sneaky Sasquatch, Butter Royale and Crossy Road Castle.”

He added: “We’ve added many other new features, making Nimbus+ the new global standard in mobile gaming performance.”

The Nimbus+ meets the standards Apple have set out for MFi standards. Therefore it takes advantage of all the features you would expect such as controller-supported game discovery, optimised button mapping and fast re-connections.

The Nimbus+ SteelSeries controller is available now for $69.99 on Apple's website. Beyond that, it will go on sale on SteelSeries' own online store on May 26th.
Interested in the best games that are available on Apple Arcade?
Pre-registration for one of the most promising MMOs of the year, Webzen’s MU Origin 2, is now available for Android players. For those not in the know, MU Origin 2 brings us an up-to-date take on the lore, characters, and gameplay mechanics of the classic PC-based MU Online.

Probably the most important choice you’ll make in MU Origin 2 is which of the three starter classes to go with. There’s the angelic, arrow-firing Elf; the devastatingly powerful Dark Knight; and the staff-wielding, spell-casting Dark Wizard. After deciding on that, a wealth of dungeons, quests, and game modes will become available to take on.

And remember that it’s an MMORPG, so you’ll have the option to create guilds, meet new friends, and take on the hardest dungeons as a part of a powerful team. Rival teams can be fought in the game’s Harmatium, though the arena-based 1v1 matches are just as intense and worth getting involved in.

The game also offers an expansive world, full of deadly foes and hidden secrets. Mounts can be collected and used to traverse the landscape, while guardian animals are incredibly helpful when in the heat of battle.

Now that the closed beta on Android has come to an end, Webzen have released some stats and facts about what players got up to in their time with the game. The most popular starting class turned out to be the Dark Wizard, with 43.7% of players opting for the magic-based character; the Dark Knight came in second place with 36.3%, while the Elf class managed to draw in only 20%.

An incredible 2,337,791 tower levels were cleared, and there were a whopping 38,274 casualties in PVP. And with over 306,925,432,548 zen having been collected overall, it’s clear that the beta drew in quite a crowd.
MU Origin 2 is set for release during the first half of 2019, and it’ll be available on both Android and iOS. If you’re looking to pre-register for the Android version, you can do so now over on Google Play.

Last week we found out that both GAME and GameStop were putting out different Switch bundles. Today it looks like there's still a scattering of bundles and lone consoles, but you know how it is - these things never last long.

At the time of this article going live, on Nintendo.co.uk there's a small amount of stock for the Grey Switch (£279.99) and for the Nintendo Switch Hyrule Rider Pack (£354.99). For those looking to spend a little more, the bundles mentioned in last week's post are still available on GAME between £399.99 and £487.99.

GameStop did get more stock of both the Neon and Grey Switches this morning, but obviously those have been snapped up sharpish. However, the bundles are still available from $399.99 to $464.99. Do check in at your local GameStop though just in case there's one hiding on a shelf somewhere.

May the odds be ever in your favour.

Naruto X Boruto Ninja Tribes is a team-based combat game that sees both generations collide. It's a joint venture between publisher Bandai Namco and developer Crunchyroll. There's no release date announced just yet but they are planning to show some gameplay at Crunchyroll's own event in San Jose on August 30th, so we might find out more then.

It's been a big week if you're into a plethora of anime series with Attack On Titans Tactics being announced and One Punch Man: Road to Hero being released recently too. Now we have a Naruto X Boruto announcement to throw into the mix.

If you're unfamiliar with Naruto it's an anime that follows the story of a young ninja and his quest to become the leader of his village. Boruto is a spin-off that follows his son's adventures, hence the rhyme I guess, who is also a ninja. So Ninja Tribes will be a crossover of sorts where it brings father and son together during their prominent years.
